The annual ESC Congress took place in London this year. It is the world's largest cardiology event hosting over 32 000 participants. The Cardiology Department from Oslo University Hospital was well represented with contributions to 22 abstracts, 11 talks, four panel discussions, five chair duties, a case study and a mini quiz on ESC 2014 guidelines. From these CCI members contributed with eight talks, five chair duties, four panel discussions, 16 posters, one rapid fire abstract and one best poster screen where the award for the best poster was given to Nina Eide Hasselberg on her poster titled "Lamin A/C mutation prevalence and cardiac penetrance in Norway". Mette Estensen, PhD, MD who recently became a CCI member participated in the mini quiz on ESC 2014 guidelines. During this year's ESC Congress GE Healthcare also showcased their new ultrasound scanner Vivid E95 for the European market. Vivid E95 is developed together with doctors and researchers from Oslo University Hospital, Rikshospitalet, the Center for Cardiologial Innovation and engineers from GE Vingmed Ultrasound. UNIKARD was also present documenting contributions from CCI members. Read more about it on www.unikard.org |
